Dr. Jennifer Reeves graduated from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln with a doctorate in Clarinet Performance in May 2017. While at UNL, she was an active participant in the University Symphony Orchestra, Philharmonia Orchestra, Wind Ensemble and Graduate Chamber Music Program. While in school, Dr. Reeves was a winner of the UNL Graduate Concerto Competition performing Scott McAllister's X Concerto, followed by an invitation to perform Mozart's clarinet concerto in 2017 with the UNL Campus Orchestra. She currently serves as principal clarinetist in the Lincoln Civic Orchestra.
Reeves joined Lincoln's Cornerstone Academy of Clarinet as an Instructor in August 2013, and also teaches clarinet at Union College, Doane University, Omaha School of Music and Dance, and the Lincoln Music Teachers Association's Music Outreach Program. Reeves is the founder of the Hijinx Clarinet Quartet and the director of Cornerstone Clarinet Choir (C3) - a community clarinet ensemble for Lincoln, NE and surrounding communities.
Reeves currently serves as the Volunteer Coordinator and the Nebraska State Chair for the International Clarinet Association's ClarinetFest® Conference. While in school, she served as the student ambassador for the Nebraska State Chapter of the International Clarinet Association, as well as a Graduate Student Ambassador for the Glenn Korff School of Music and the Lied Center for the Performing Arts. She is an active member of the ICA, College Music Society, National Association of College Wind and Percussion Instructors, Music Teachers National Association, Nebraska Music Teachers Association, Lincoln Music Teachers Association, and Sigma Alpha Iota.

Reeves was invited to perform as a soloist for the ICA ClarinetFest® Conference in 2021. She also presented lectures for the CMS Great Plains Regional Conference in 2017 and the CMS/NACWPI National Conference in Santa Fe, NM in 2016. Hijinx Clarinet Quartet has been invited to perform for the ICA ClarinetFest Conference in 2021 and 2022, the University of Alabama-Birmingham's Clarinet Symposium and CMS Great Plains Regional Conference in 2017, and the CMS/NACWPI National Conference in 2016.
Prior to moving to Lincoln, Reeves attended the University of Tennessee at Martin where she won the First Annual Friends of Music Concerto Competition in 2009. While in TN, Reeves served as a substitute clarinetist for the Jackson Symphony Orchestra in Tennessee and the Paducah Symphony in Kentucky. In the summer of 2012, the Four Stikx Clarinet Quartet (co-founded in 2010 at UTM) was invited to present recitals at Mahidol University and Silpakorn University in Thailand (as a member of the quartet and as a soloist). In addition to her primary teachers, Diane Barger (UNL) and Amy Yandell (UTM), Reeves worked with several renowned clarinet artists at the 2011 Aria International Summer Academy (Deborah Chodacki, Kenneth Grant, Mark Nuccio and Nathan Williams) and the 2009 Belgian Clarinet Academy (Tamara Cuypers, Robert Spring and Eddy Vanoosthuyse). Reeves pursues a career as a teacher, world-wide performer, and entrepreneur- bringing new musical experiences to diverse audiences around the world.
